Experience

I never had to take the SAT because I transferred from UBC to Portland State University after my second year of school. I did, however, have to take the TOEFL exam. I scored a 118/120 on my TOEFL exam. At UBC I was studying to become an English Language major with a Law and Society minor. I later transferred to Portland State for their upstanding college golf program, and continued on to graduate with a major in Communication and a minor in Advertising Management. I have taken countless English and writing courses, as well as language electives, economics, math, philosophy, law, marketing, and advertising classes. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I tutored Spanish while in high school, and I offered peer tutoring services for essay editing in college. As a recent graduate and student-athlete of an NCAA Division I school, I learned significant lessons on time management and working under pressure while achieving great academic success. I am interested in tutoring because I want to help others achieve their own academic goals, whichever they may be. Whether it be, finishing high school or getting through university, I am convinced that my own life experience will prove beneficial to your learning and future achievement.

My hobbies include spending time with family, golfing, and hiking. Even though I recently graduated, I am considering going back to school. My dream has always been to apply to law school and pursue a career in the field of corporate law. In the meantime, I am intent on using my gained knowledge to help others achieve their own academic goals and find success in their respective fields of study.
