I attended Arizona State University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics. I also spent time while in college tutoring through the school's Student Success Center. I have a solid education and years of experience tutoring students, and am able to tutor students in subjects like statistics, calculus, and economics. I enjoy tutoring basically any math subject. I appreciate the way the problems all have solutions, even though they may be difficult to reach at first. I believe that each student has their own way of learning, and I make sure to find the method as soon as possible once I start working with them, so that our sessions can be the most effective and efficient. Also, I never give students answers to problems. They learn by doing the work themselves, and I see my position as a guide, working with them and pointing them in the right direction, until they earn the thrill of discovery. Though I have extensive math knowledge, my job as a tutor is not to show this off by knowing everything and telling the student, but rather by being available to guide them as they do the work. In my free time, I enjoy playing the bagpipes.
