I am concerned that our current educational system is not adequately serving today's students. Too often, it is subject matter that is being taught, and not the individual. As a result, students are expected to keep up with the group even when they struggle with the material. With some extra effort, instruction can be customized for the specific needs of each student. When that occurs, student success rates improve dramatically. I work hard, giving that extra effort to provide individualized attention. My goal is to help students realize that they can learn even the most challenging of subjects. I do that by going back to basics and making learning fun. I assist students in figuring out how they relate to a subject and then building on that knowledge. Once the student and I discover their key for understanding, learning improves significantly.I am a graduate student at Arizona State University, in pursuit of my MBA. Supply chain management and logistics are two areas of business that I find the most interesting. When I am not in school or tutoring, I like to take time and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. I enjoy hiking and exploring the great state of Arizona, reading, and watching movies.
