There is nothing more exciting than watching a student build confidence and find a passion in something they once struggled with. It is rewarding for me to be a part of someone's support system during their educational pursuit. I have worked with a variety of students on different skill levels to achieve success. I believe it is important to work together to discover how a student learns best. Once a routine has been figured out, my students see a rise in their testing scores and discover a confidence they may have never known. My specialties lie in standardized test preparation, Mandarin, and English. Presently, I am attending Arizona State University as an honors student. I am working toward a double major in Chinese Language and Global Studies. With the Boren National Scholarship, I was given the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Asia. While there, I also worked with students as a mentor. Together, we worked toward building skills in English as a second language and public speaking. This experience allowed me to build my own teaching style and work with a variety of students.When I am not studying or assisting students, I can be found curling up with a good book or trying new recipes. I also enjoy going for a run and exploring the world around me.
