ExperienceFor the past seven years, I have helped hundreds of high school students pass the math AIMs (a high-stake test that includes algebra I & II, geometry I & II) with great success. As a math tutor I have enjoyed working with state-authorized providers for AIMs on a one-to-one basis as well as small groups with students of various levels of learning skills. One of my greatest strengths in working with hundreds of students over the years is my ability to quickly ascertain areas in math the student most needs improving and adapt accordingly. Making math easier to understand for the student is my goal. As well as helping students to apply critical thinking skills to new problems.
Passed the AEPA (10 Mathematics, now the NES NT304) and Highly Qualified in math per No Child Left Behind (NCLB) standards, B.S., Finance, and Laubach Literacy certified for volunteering.
HobbiesPersonal interests include chess (USCF rated), and variations of chess such as blitz, black forest, and bughouse. Racquetball, pool/billiards, tennis, bowling, and table tennis are other activities that I wish I had more time for.
