I graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in Classics and Integrative Physiology with a Minor in Creative Writing in May of 2015. Currently, I am attending Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine to attain my N.D.
Experience
I have extensive tutoring experience from my time at CU-Boulder, particularly in the biological sciences. --Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Human Physiology Lab for two semesters --Founding member of the Volunteer Integrative Physiology Tutoring Program --Walk-In Tutor for the Academic Success and Achievement Program Specific classes at CU that I have taken and tutored in: --General Biology I&II + Lab --Human Physiology I&II + Lab --Endocrinology I am also familiar with the AP testing process and how to study for the exams. My teaching style is very active and hands-on, and I reduce the amount of blind memorization as much as possible. I believe that a true understanding of biology requires the ability to link together broad concepts with small details, as well as a consideration of how different biological systems affect one another. I enjoy supplementing my sessions with interesting background information that won't necessarily be on the test, but will make these concepts unforgettable.
