With so many students these days struggling with mathematics and science, I enjoy performing a valuable role in the educational system by helping them as a tutor. I try to bring the same joy I feel about science into their lives. My specialties are definitely mathematics and science, more specifically, calculus, differential equations, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, physics, astrophysics, and planetary science. I have taught students in many age groups, but have the most experience with students between the ages of 8 to 15. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy with a minor in Math from Northern Arizona University, and a master's degree in Physics with an emphasis in Astrophysics from San Francisco State University. Today, I have the pleasure of serving as an adjunct instructor for astrophysics courses at Mesa Community College. My teaching life began many years ago at San Francisco State University. There, I taught astronomy and physics lab courses for four years, and I was honored by the university for outstanding performance as a teacher's assistant. I also have years of experience teaching first-year college algebra as part of a program through the university called the Summer Bridge Program. I truly love the stars and the vast expanses of space, and in my free time, you will most likely find me at the university observatory, gazing at the night sky through a telescope.
