I am a traveled and experienced tutor, with my specialization in the subjects of Spanish and English. I strongly believe in everyone having a strong education in both writing and reading. Those disciplines enrich one's personal life and are hugely beneficial to furthering one's career and academic pursuits. I have broad experience tutoring, including my time with the Peace Corps where I was stationed in the Dominican Republic. While I was there, I taught classes in Environmental Education and English. I tutor mostly English and Spanish, along with various other subjects, including Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, Geography, Social Studies, and Phonics. My tutoring style is to cater my lessons to each individual student's needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Every student is different, and a little bit of patience and understanding can go a long way. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Messiah College, with a focus on writing. While attending school there, I studied abroad, spending five months in Quito, Ecuador. I went on to receive a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from The University of Texas in Austin. In my free time, I enjoy spending it exploring the Superstition Wilderness Area, dancing, riding motorcycles, and reading.
