Experience
I have been teaching since 1993, when I received certification as a teacher from the Arizona Department of Education. I have worked with children and adults of all ages. My teaching experience ranges from working as a teacher's assistant in elementary classrooms to 17 years of teaching at Rio Salado College. I also worked with both child and adult immigrants on improving their skills in speaking, reading, and writing in English, as well as helping them learn to love other subjects they were studying but having difficulty. My teaching has proven very effective, as my students have shown significant improvement in school assessment scores. My approach is to vary the teaching methods I use, so the student can find an approachable way to understand the concepts. One of my best qualities as a teacher is the enthusiasm I am able to radiate and create with my students. I am easy to get along with, and I have a genuine and relaxed personality. I really love being able to share the knowledge and enthusiasm I have, while applying my skills. I tutor Math, ESL, English, Spanish, and History.In addition to teaching, I love reading, camping, exotic cars, traveling abroad, and international food.
