Experience
I truly enjoy teaching and understanding how a person's mind works. I obtained a BS degree in psychology from Northern Arizona University. After I graduated, I attended San Diego State and obtained my master's in psychology with a special focus on neuroscience. Beyond that, I have spent time being a teaching assistant for college students and have also worked with children of all ages from elementary school through high school. I have also worked with students with autism. I really enjoy focusing my tutoring on helping students prepare for exams, along with essay writing, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics. I find that helping a student study for an exam gives so much fulfillment back to me and the student. They are able to see that with hard work and effort they can reach their goal of a great grade. A student will excel when they are able to develop their own thoughts about how to work through a problem and how to develop their own writing style. In my spare time, I love traveling, trying new foods, and learning new languages. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, as well as spending time outdoors, running, or playing tennis.
