Experience
I learned how much I love to teach while spending time as a teaching assistant, and also tutoring co-workers who needed extra help in the college courses they were attending. I still love tutoring, and my specialties are Mathematics of all types, English, and Physics. I believe that a person's attitude is very important, and I not only keep a great attitude myself, but I like to also foster a good attitude towards learning in my students. When it comes to new students, I start by figuring out where the communication gap lies between a student and their material, and I then communicate the information in a more easily understandable language. I am a very patient teacher, and take as much time as needed to ensure a student masters the topic at hand. I first attended Purdue University, where I earned a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am now back in school attending ASU working towards my doctorate. I worked as an engineer for two companies since obtaining my bachelor's degree, including an energy services company in Colorado, and LyondellBasell in New Jersey. I now live in Arizona and love the state. In Arizona, I have spent time working for ASU as a teaching assistant, where I helped teach engineering students and performed work in robotics research. Now, I am working for SpaceTREx, and their projects involving space-oriented robotics. My hobbies include building my own gadgets, hiking, rock climbing, and working on a novel.
