ExperienceAs a student currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Psychology at Arizona State University, I am right in the midst of many of the subjects I tutor. With my finger on the pulse, so to speak, I can help struggling students pick out the themes most valued in academia. With that information in hand, my students will be prepared for collegiate-level studies.I primarily tutor students in Math, but I can also teach Science, History, and help students with preparation for the ACT, SAT, and PSAT. I began tutoring my peers when I was in high school, but am capable of working with students of all ages. My approach relies more on imparting technique than delivering answers. I believe that, in so doing, I can teach students how to problem-solve independently. Independent problem solving is a vital skill to master. The more independence students have, the more confidence they gain. And when they find confidence in their abilities, they will find success as well. When not tutoring or pursuing my own studies, I am most often playing the saxophone or working with animals.
